What is Chiropractic & who is it for?
The body has an innate intelligence that uses millions of processes to help you to adapt to the environment and keep you alive and thriving. These processes are regulated by the brain and spinal cord ie your nervous system. Therefore a healthy nervous system ensures that every process can happen in the right way, at the right time, leading to optimal functioning of your body. Increased connection and better function means that your body is able to heal and recover in its’ most natural way. A Chiropractor’s role is to focus on the spine and other joints of the body, and their connection to the nervous system. The word “chiropractic” means “to be done by hand”, thus Chiropractors use adjustments to restore joint function and support the nervous system, helping patients maintain optimal health.
Chiropractic focuses on maintaining your health naturally to help your body resist disease, rather than simply treating the symptoms of disease.
Benefits for chiropractic care may include the following:
- Improved Nerve Communication in the Body
- Improved Joint range of motion and Coordination
- Improved Physical Function and Performance
- Improved Posture
- Relief from Pain, Joint Discomfort, Arthritis
- Relief from Migraines and tension headaches
- Many benefits during pregnancy & for infants and children
